2021 PACT Level 1 Module 1 Online Training

In PACT Level 1 Module 1, you’ll learn about the three PACT domains and the fundamentals of the PACT interviewing process. 

Based on a unique integration of the latest research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and the biology of human arousal, you’ll discover PACT’s dynamic, practical, and effective mind-body approach to couple therapy.

Plus, you will enjoy working with your couples more, because you’ll know the methodology is solidly grounded in science and research. And, you’ll gain the confidence to work more deeply and get creative in the therapy room.

Level 1 Prerequisites

The training is intended for licensed and pre-licensed marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.  

To qualify for attendance in the PACT training, a pre-licensed clinician must (a) be in the final year of graduate school, (b) actively see clients as a supervisee and/or intern, and (c) have a supervisor’s approval to attend the training.

Level 1 training is offered in English only. 

When you successfully complete Level 1 Module 1 training, you will be able to proceed to Level 1 Module 2 training once it is available.

  9. Distinguish between top-down and bottom-up interventions.
  10. Illustrate and distinguish the three different attachment styles.
  11. Explain and apply the principles and demonstrate the skills for attachment intervention.
  12. Explain and apply the principles and demonstrate the skills for arousal regulation intervention.
  13. Explain and apply the principles and demonstrate the skills for the basic PACT interviewing process.
  14. Describe and illustrate the elements of the therapeutic frame.
  15. Explain and practice the principles of therapist self-regulation.
  16. Demonstrate the use of video equipment in couples work.
