When you are looking to participate in a culture of collaboration and lifelong learning that can provide a rich source of feedback and guidance, consider joining the Consultation Group: Advanced with Stan.
With the Consultation Group: Advanced with Stan, we’re trying something a little different.Â
The principles of the group are the same: an opportunity to enhance your clinical skills, to hear diverse perspectives, to reduce the sense of isolation that often comes with being a therapist, and to find emotional support.Â
In addition to all of these benefits, we’re also looking to build a sense of community. Once you sign up for this Consultation Group: Advanced, you’ll have the first opportunity to join again when Stan offers a new session. The idea is to encourage consistency, foster collaboration, and grow together.Â
The Consultation Group: Advanced will be small and intimate – a maximum of 15 clinicians. And sessions will be longer – a full 2 hours – to allow for deeper, more focused learning; opportunities to present your case and receive feedback; and discussion of more complex issues that goes beyond what can be covered in other groups.
These small group settings will also allow you to address issues that might come up in working with a client — or a type of client — and you’ll have opportunities to talk with colleagues who understand the complicated role you play as a therapist.
When you feel stuck, Stan’s Consultation Group: Advanced can help you develop a coherent plan to focus treatment interventions, which in turn help you help your couples move forward. You’ll learn effective ways of framing or reframing client issues and how to apply specific PACT techniques to gain clinical traction and achieve better outcomes.
Whether you need some support or a whole new strategy to consider, you’ll come away with a fresh perspective.
Once you enroll in the Consultation Group: Advanced, you will be required to write and prepare a case for presentation.
Preparing a case for presentation is an important step in helping yourself (and others) conceptualize or reframe a case in a way that can help a couple move forward. We provide guidance with a thorough and straightforward outline for you to use.Â
All group members will be assigned a day to submit their case. Stan will review all case submissions and will work with 1-3 cases in each session that he believes will significantly advance participants’ learning. He will answer questions, provide insight, and support you with practical tools and experiential exercises.
Once you join the Consultation Group: Advanced, you’ll receive priority to sign up early for future sessions. The idea is to build community and create consistency for PACT'S advanced level therapists to collaborate and grow together.
