Couple Therapy Intensives: Structure, Strategy, and Clinical Judgment for Rapid Assessment and Focused Intervention by Dr. Stan Tatkin, PsyD, MFT, Developer of PACT

Are you ready to add intensives to your couple therapy practice? Extended, focused time with a couple changes what's clinically possible.

In this 2.5-hour live workshop, Dr. Stan Tatkin shares how he runs intensives that accelerate assessment, clarify cases, and move couples toward a defined outcome without turning into exhausting marathon sessions.

This workshop does not require PACT training, though it will be taught through a PACT lens it will be fully translatable to any modality.

You'll learn how to:

  • Structure and pace a multi-day intensive, including Stan's four-day, four-hour model and how to manage fatigue and saturation
  • Rapidly assess attachment, trauma, and dyadic capacity to identify the true case type, including betrayal, addiction, premarital, blended-family
  • Build a therapeutic container that applies productive pressure and reveals how a couple actually functions as a team
  • Recognize contraindications and red flags that call for postponement, consultation, or referral
  • Navigate the business side including  fees, deposits, cancellations, and coordination with referring clinicians
